Unlimited Priorities Supports the American Cancer Society's Relay For Life Over $30,000 Raised! |
Thank You From the Hearts of The Hanneys. May God bless and protect you!
We are truly blessed with wonderful friends, community, colleagues and family. All of us are united in a war we must wage every day, one we must not lose—the fight against cancer.
How amazing is it to see how dramatically our lives can change in a day, an hour, a minute. No one ever forgets the moment they hear the words, "You have cancer." We believe it renews our resolve to make the most of each moment and remember kindness to our fellow human beings.
Every day, when someone is diagnosed with cancer, their life and the lives of their family and friends change.
We applaud and celebrate the survivors who give us constant hope. We pray for those fighting for their lives and their strength. We remember those we have lost. We must continue to raise funds until we find a cure for this dreaded disease—we will win this battle—treatment and results improve every day! We must never give up, no matter how hard the battle we must fight, sometimes one hour at a time.
With your help, we raised $2,442 honoring our dear Aunt Helen Porch. Your generous donations made this possible! This was only the first leg of the fundraiser—we hoped to raise $25,000.00 by the Relay in April. We promised we would match the $2,442, bringing our efforts to start this drive to $4,884. Now the fun really began—between fundraisers, mailings, sunshine signs, an incredible community, Unlimited Priorities’ additional $5,000 match, and everyone’s big heart at our 2010 Relay, we were able to beat our initial goal of $25,000, raising it to $30,000. Ultimately, the "Came to Believe" team was able to present the American Cancer Society with an amazing $31,172.40 !!!
We are proud to live in a country where this type of fundraiser is possible, and most importantly we are proud to say that we will continue supporting the Relay for Life until a cure is found. We are proud of our friends, our family, our colleagues, our pets—all who have helped make this possible, even if it meant a financial sacrifice for the greater good—regardless of the economy. Strive for the words, "You are cured!"
Thank you so much for your support. My Dad, Sam Rugoff thanks you, John’s Mom & Dad, Gerry & Elizabeth thank you, and Aunt Helen is blessing you, and all your loved ones thank you. Please pray for Pussy Hanney that he has an easy time fighting his lung cancer – yes, even our pets aren’t immune!
If you would like to donate, it's not too late! Maybe this will be the year when we can stop losing one of our own. Do the right thing—save a life today!
