Unlimited Priorities’ Stephen Simon Earns Project Management Professional (PMP) Credential

Cape Coral, FL (June 22, 2009)Unlimited Priorities, a company specializing in support for organizations within the information industry, has announced that Stephen Simon, a member of its team of domain experts, has attained the credential Project Management Professional (PMP®) from the Project Management Institute (PMI).

With more than half a million members and credential holders in over 170 countries, PMI is the leading not-for-profit membership association for the project management profession. PMP® certified managers are responsible for all aspects of a project during its life. They lead and direct cross-functional teams to deliver projects within the constraints of schedule, budget and scope. They also must demonstrate sufficient knowledge and experience to apply a clearly defined methodology to each project.

Unlimited Priorities Corporation to Provide Marketing, Distribution and Technical Support Service for AARP AgeLine

Cape Coral, FL (February 9,2009)Unlimited Priorities, a company specializing in support for organizations within the information industry, has been selected to provide marketing support services for AARP AgeLine, an online, bibliographic database focused on the subject of aging and middle-aged and older adults.

Founded in 1958, AARP is a nonprofit, nonpartisan membership organization helping people 50 and over improve the quality of their lives. With 40 million members and offices in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands, AARP is the nation’s largest membership organization for people over 50.

In an ongoing effort to deliver high value services to subscribers, AARP engaged Unlimited Priorities to update the look and feel of AARP AgeLine though a variety of internal and external service offerings.

Internal

Unlimited Priorities will review AgeLine’s current internal work-flows and recommend areas where production, including abstracting and indexing processes, can be upgraded. Unlimited Priorities will help AgeLine improve its approach to, and interaction with, outside vendors including securing full-text rights and renegotiating existing contracts. AgeLine’s current aggregator license agreement will be reviewed and expanded with a view to adding licensees and expanding current partnerships. Unlimited Priorities also will identify additional information aggregators and third party partnerships for wider distribution of AgeLine resources. A key component will be the creation of an updated Request for Proposals, and management of the interaction with vendors during the proposal process.

External

Unlimited Priorities will review the AgeLine website and provide suggestions regarding the updating of graphic materials and the creation of additional information for users, as applicable; design a new exhibit booth and display materials for use at conferences; create updated marketing essentials including folders, brochures and information sheets; originate advertising copy and layouts; update the PowerPoint® presentation; and create and distribute press releases on a timely basis.

Accessible Archives Activates COUNTER Compliance Capabilities

Malvern, PA (January 7, 2009)Accessible Archives, Inc.©, a publisher of electronic full-text searchable historical databases of 18th and 19th century American newspapers, periodicals and county histories, has announced that the company is now fully COUNTER compliant. This project was completed in conjunction with ISSEL, a British firm highly proficient in the implementation of COUNTER, and coordinated by Unlimited Priorities acting in a consultative role.

Dissemination of Accessible Archives’ COUNTER statistical data began January 2, 2009, with full data – including publication-specific information – accessible from December 1, 2008. Actual reporting begins with May 2008, but includes only activity data from that date until November 30, 2008. Once COUNTER requirements were fully understood Accessible Archives was able to begin collecting more complete and useful data.

As a premier source for colonial and early American information, Accessible Archives had been keenly aware of the increasing need for institutions to measure the value proposition of their purchased online content. After detailed deliberations the company turned to ISSEL and the COUNTER usage statistics standard as the solution. Established in 2002 by publishers, librarians and vendors, Project COUNTER provides a consistent, comparable and credible standard for counting and reporting usage of online resources. Unlimited Priorities Establishes Training Services in Six Sigma and Applied Problem Solving Techniques

These courses are implemented under the supervision of George Woodley, an American Society for Quality Certified Master Black Belt.

Six Sigma

Six Sigma is a disciplined, data-driven approach and methodology for eliminating defects (driving towards six standard deviations between the mean and the nearest specification limit) in any process — from manufacturing to transactional and from product to service. The fundamental objective of Six Sigma methodology is the implementation of a measurement-based strategy focusing on process improvement and variation reduction through the application of Six Sigma improvement projects.

Applied Problem Solving Techniques

The Applied Problem Solving Techniques program begins by establishing a team and detailing its membership, roles and operating procedures. Then the internal/external customer problem is identified in quantifiable terms. An interim containment action protecting the customer from the identified problem is developed, along with an action plan. The root cause of the problem is defined using comparative analysis and identifying and testing theories. Choosing and verifying corrective actions are examined and implemented, and permanent corrective actions are validated. A system of improvements to prevent recurrence of the problem is established, and a review of theory of recognition and how to complete unfinished team business concludes the training process.

Mr. Woodley has conducted Black Belt and Master Black Belt training courses for organizations such as Ford, Biomet, Motorola, Capital One, Blue Cross/Blue Shield and the American Red Cross, along with several branches of the U.S. Armed Forces. Assessing the Applied Problem Solving Techniques program presented at Emerson Electric, Duke Snider, Division Quality Manager, said: ”The training that our people received in problem solving techniques has enabled us to view problems that arise in a different light. Our responses and actions in future situations definitely will be more specific and efficient.”

Unlimited Priorities Completes Multi-Faceted Project for Alexander Street Press

Cape Coral, FL (June 17, 2008)Unlimited Priorities, a company specializing in support for small and mid-sized organizations within the information industry, has announced the completion of a multi-faceted project for Alexander Street Press, a highly regarded publisher of scholarly online databases.

In an ongoing effort to deliver high value products to customers Alexander Street retained Unlimited Priorities to review their current conversion process and provide recommendations that would result in both time and monetary savings, while at the same time enhancing throughput and minimizing any rework. During this process, a key area identified for improvement by Unlimited Priorities‘ team of experts was the necessity to improve Alexander Street’s approach to, and interaction with, outside vendors. To that end Unlimited Priorities initially recommended Alexander Street extensively overhaul its data specification, and provided valuable input into that process while at the same time developing a path to hold vendors accountable, thus ensuring the high quality level that Alexander Street demands. Next Unlimited Priorities developed a Request for Proposals, distributed that RFP to a jointly identified list of potential vendors and then managed the interaction with all vendors during the proposal process. Unlimited Priorities then evaluated all proposals, recommended vendors for selection to the short list and provided post mortem feedback to rejected vendors. Finally, Unlimited Priorities coordinated extensive testing of the short listed vendors, managed the testing process – which Alexander Street Press then evaluated – and submitted recommendations regarding final vendor selections.

Regarding this project Tim Lloyd, Alexander Street Press chief operating officer, said, “We are grateful to the Unlimited Priorities team for their invaluable input during the project, and for their perseverance and patience. Their work with us has kick-started a process that we plan to take forward to review our cost structure, and which we believe will result in some really significant cost savings.”

Unlimited Priorities Corporation Expands Advisory Board

Cape Coral, FL (June 4, 2008) – Iris L. Hanney, founder and president of Unlimited Priorities, has announced the appointment of Mark Gauthier to the company’s advisory board, increasing the membership of that body to seven.

Mark Gauthier is Vice President, Indexing and Editorial Services at H.W. Wilson. He manages the editorial and production operations of ten periodical indexes, the Wilson retrospective databases, full text services, and Current Biography. He also oversees Wilson’s name and subject authority files. In addition, he coordinates the editorial studies conducted by the American Library Association’s Committee on Wilson Indexes.

Mark joined H.W. Wilson in 1988 as an indexer in Library Literature, and was promoted to editor of Readers’ Guide to Periodical Literature and then Director of Indexing Services before assuming the role of Vice President. He manages 15 units and about 120 employees who produce the indexing and full-text content for the WilsonWeb databases. They include subject specialists in a wide variety of disciplines, from art history to engineering, and from education to law.

Mark holds a BA in French from the University of Vermont and the MSLS from Catholic University of America. He also earned an MBA in Operations Management from Baruch College, City University of New York. He resides in the Jackson Heights Historic District, in Queens, New York.

Discussing this latest appointment to the board of directors, Ms. Hanney said, “I have known and worked with Mark Gauthier for a number of years. Unlimited Priorities Corporation to Provide Marketing and Sales Analysis Support for American Economic Association

Cape Coral, FL (November 16, 2007)Unlimited Priorities, a company specializing in support for organizations within the information industry, has been selected to provide sales analysis support and marketing services for the American Economic Association (AEA) publications office.

AEA publishes American Economic Review (AER), Journal of Economic Literature (JEL) and Journal of Economic Perspectives (JEP) as well as the EconLit bibliography of journals, books, collective volume articles, book reviews, working papers and dissertations. AEA’s publications website, AEAweb.org, provides online editions of the three journals for Association members and subscribing libraries and institutions, the JEL classification system and the JEL/EconLit journal list with links to publishers’ websites. AEAweb.org includes Resources for Economists on the Internet (RFE), JOE (job openings for economists) and links to the Association web site, which provides membership and subscriptions information, the AEA Directory, news, annual conference information and more.

Unlimited Priorities will furnish a variety of services to the AEA. Unlimited Priorities will review the AEAweb.org website and provide suggestions regarding the updating of graphic materials and the creation of additional information for users, as applicable; design a new exhibit booth and display materials for use at conferences; create updated marketing essentials including folders, brochures and information sheets; originate advertising copy and layouts; create and distribute press releases on a timely basis; and provide a sales data review that will strategically organize information coming from information providers.
